"Exercise"

(Saturday night - 1 Utama) + (Sunday afternoon - Berjaya Times Square and Sungai Wang. Got there by monorail which means lots of walking and standing) + (Sunday night - planning dance moves) + (Monday morning - teaching kids to dance, i.e teaching and dancing) = Utter exhaustion + leg aches.

I'm seriously unfit. Old age probably has something to do with it as well...

*sigh*

Resolution: get in shape and stay in it!!!
"Thanks" largely to my dearest cousins, I've been wangled in to teach little kids to dance. Dance to the tune of Christina Aguilera's "Candyman", no less!

[Now, don't even ask (me, anyway) why "Candyman" is an appropriate song for preschoolers to dance to. It isn't. I had no say in choosing the song. I think it's way too obscene for public airing, let alone for little kids to dance to. But I digress.]

Me. Teaching. Kids. Dancing.

It happened so fast, I didn't even realize what sort of trouble I'd gotten into. And anyway, I wasn't exactly in the position to say no.

BUT, contrary to all expectations, it's actually quite fun!

I'm not a good dancer, not by a long shot. Heck, I'm not even an adequate dancer. But the moves are so simple and basic, they could have been examples from "The Dummies' Guide To Dancing".

Plus, it's a good way to sweat.

Watching those little girls remember all the moves and nail them down perfectly on cue is so satisfying! They're all cute little things, really.

The Betty Syndrome

Reading Archie comics, I've always wondered about Betty's hang-up about Archie. She's bright and beautiful and has other guys going after her, so why does she always go back to the guy who treats her like crap every time he calls?

I used to think she's stupid.

Then I sort of got saddled with her problem, the way she can't get over Archie.

And I still think she's stupid.
