Symbols - Innocent or Evil?

Innocent looking symbol, huh? It's called a caduceus. The caduceus is used as a symbol for medical practice, and is widely identified - and accepted - as such. But behind this innocent facade is a much darker story. The caduceus actually originated from the Greek 'god' Hermes, who carried it around. As Hermes came to be linked with alchemy, this symbol was adopted. The caduceus is also an occultic symbol.


And then there's the 'peace' sign. It's also demonic in origins, as it is a perversion of the Cross of the Christ - a broken cross which mocks Christ. And it symbolizes 'peace'.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 ~ And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.


Then there's also a certain international organization, whose logo/symbol is of the globe, our planet Earth. BUT the viewpoint is from the top - the 'north' - looking downwards. What does the Bible say about the fall of Satan?

Isaiah 14:12-14 ~ How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart,"I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the north. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High."

Mere coincidence? This writer's own fancies and delusions?

Or dark deception masquerading as light and righteousness?
